Can someone explain the process the end users executes to access their own voicemails when outside of the office?

Thank you, Paul

Paul,

A common way this is done is give users a # that hits something like a CTI route point that is always set to CFA to Unity, they'll be presented with the ability to enter their ID and PIN and login.

Hope that helps,

Brad

bmagnani, can you show me an example of the command to do this? Thank you, Paul

If they have a DID number, where they can call their phone, or actually nay phone that will go to a unity mailbox, they can hit * while the greeting is playing, and they will be prompted to enter their extension and pin. They will then be able to access their messages. This is assuming a pretty standard configuration of Unity.

To make things simpler for users you can set their cellphone number as an alternate extension. Unity will then recognise the caller and prompt them for their PIN before giving access.

If you do not do this then when Unity answers the user has to press * then enter their extension and PIN.

Jamesha, thank you. can you show me an example of the commands to set the cell phone number? Paul

all good ways, we do it as Brad states with a did, did is set up in cm and in unity under call routing.forwarded calls
