Quick design question as new to MDS switches.
We are looking in purchasing 4 9509 switches. 2 at site A, 2 at site B.
How would we connect the switches across the two sites using two LES1000 links?
Would we create a virtual port-channel between the switches like you can on the Nexus 7000.
Thanks

LES1000, can you offer more details? Assuming that what you have is a Gigabit Ethernet link between sites. If so, you'll need to create FC-IP tunnels between sites. For that, you'll need something like the MSM (multi-services module) that has 18 FC ports and four Gig-E IP Services ports.
Check the config guides and the cookbook for more details on IP services and FC-IP tunnels.

Correct...if the link is IP between the sites, you need to use the modules with the GE ports. You can still create multiple FCIP tunnels and then create a port channel of those links. If the link is dark fibre and the connection will be pure fibre channel, you can create a port channel of multiple fibre channel ISLs.
Remember, the best practice when building port channels is to use links on different modules to avoid a module failure from killing the entire port channel.
Hope this helps,
Mike
