Push To SPA504?

A feature that I wish existed on the Cisco IP phones is an easy way to tell which park slots are currently in use.  In one of our locations, we have all 7941 and 7961 phones which I have developed an XML push to put a CiscoIPPhoneStatus box on all of the phones when a park slot is in use.

Unfortunately, I have not be able to find a way to do anything like this with the SPA504.  The SPA504 does not handle an idle service URL either so I cannot put it there.

I did read that I might be able to push a service using a SIP NOTIFY message but I have not be able to find any documentation on this.  I am also unsure this will work on my system as all of the phones are using SPCP signaling and attached to a UC520.

This is a critical feature that I need implemented so any help would be appreciated.
