Hi -

Take a look at this Cisco doc link to see if this will help - it contains all of the set-up instructions: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/7x/administration/guide/7xcucsag220.html

Sincerely, Ginger

P.S. Please note that broadcast messages do NOT trigger Message waiting indicators.

Hi -

I believe this is what you need to do next - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/7x/user_mac/guide/7xcucmac040.html#Broadcast_Messages

You need to enable one or more users to use the broadcast messaging feature.  To start with, add the permissions to your account - go to Send Message Settings and configure:

User Can Send Broadcast Messages to Users on This Server

Check this check box to allow users to send system broadcast messages to all users on the local Connection server.

User Can Update Broadcast Messages Stored on This Server

Check this check box to allow users to edit system broadcast messages stored on the local Connection server.

When you reach the Broadcast Administrator, use your Unity Connection userid and password for access.

Hope this helps!  Ginger

Also - as an aside, you can setup users to have an easier way of getting in to the broadcast message admin conversation in Connection using a custom key map conversation.  For users that have been setup with access for this (as Ginger notes) you can assign them to a custom key map conversation that has the broadcast message admin covnersation available in their top level subscriber menu (i.e. "press 1 for new messages, 2 to send a message, 3 for read messages, 4 for broadcast messages...") - going in this way they just log into their mailbox as normal and then they can get right into the broadcast message conversation without having to provide another login/PW.

Generally this is much easier and cleaner than going through the old Unity way (which Connection support for legacy reasons) of going through a mapped conversation like that...

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, can you please tell me where we can this option in Unity greeting message, still now users are getting menu list as to read new voice mail and send voice mail but they are not getting this broadcast messaging where we can give this option.

Hi -

If you are referring to the Unity inbox to check voice messages, the url (note it will be different depending on whether you used http or https, will be: http:///ciscopca.  If you used https secured to access your Unity Connection server, use https:///ciscopca.  Users logon with their UC userid and web password, not TUI password.  If your UC server is LDAP integrated, they would use their AD account and password.  Do you need instructions to create a custom keymap conversation as Jeff indicated is available in his post?  If so - this link describes the process - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/7x/administration/guide/7xcucsag135.html
