Is having a significant count of undersized frames an issue. I am seeing a performance degradation on a network. I have CSS-A plugged into port g1/0/24 on my 3750 switch. When I do a show interface, not big deal, no errors.
However, when I do a show interface counter errors I get:
Port Align-Err FCS-Err Xmit-Err Rcv-Err UnderSize
Gi1/0/1 0 0 0 0 0
Gi1/0/2 0 0 0 0 0
---
Gi1/0/19 0 0 0 0 0
Gi1/0/20 0 0 0 0 0
Gi1/0/21 0 0 0 0 0
Gi1/0/22 0 0 0 0 0
Gi1/0/23 0 0 0 0 0
Gi1/0/24 0 0 0 0 0
Gi1/0/25 0 0 0 0 25016
Anyone have any idea whatsoever what this means? I am concerned that it is on the interface to my CSS as well.
Thanks in advance for any help.

A frame shorter than the legal 60 bytes.
To be meaningful, the figure must be compared with the total received frames.
However, the device sending these should be fixed.

It is a very significant amount of frames. In fact, the majority of frames received on this port are less than 64bytes.
You say the sending device should be fixed. The sending device is a Cisco CSS. Can you explain what one would do to fix a problem like this?
Thanks.

A software upgrade, or investigate if it is a known problem.

Crap, just found out the switch has support but the CSS does not.
Gotta go yell at someone about that.
Thanks for the help. I will see what I find.
