I have a question about Error message on the WS-X6248-RJ-45

Hi, there

What does it mean by below Err Msg ?

and What is the Bus Asic ?

Do you happend to have the architecture of WS-X6248-RJ-45 ?

ㅁ Verson : cat6000-sup2.6-4-13.bin

ㅁ supervisor : WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE

ㅁ Chassis : C6509

ㅁ Err Msg : %SYS-3-SYS_LCPERR3:Module 9: Bus Asic #0 out of sync error: Module requires attention - troubleshoot or contact TAC for assista.

Hi,

The bus ASIC is used to send packets for lookup. The port ASIC handles transmission and reception for several physical interfaces.

Please try one of the following workaround and if it doesn't make the message disappear, open an SR for RMA request:

1- Try to reset the LC

2- Try to reseat the LC

By the way,

There are 4 Coil Asics on the WS-X6248-RJ-45.

If Port Asic is Coil Asic, a group of ports should not work.

However, All the user who connect to the ws-x6248-rj-45 didn't work.

The issue is on the bus ASIC shared by all Port ASIC's.

This error means that you need to contact Cisco TAC and organize for the blade in slot 9 to be RMA-ed.

ASIC stands for Applications Specific Integrated Circuit.
