Hi
I have a task to upgrade and test an IOS on a firewall module and my problem here is I have never worked on these cards before. Does anybody has any document that I can use with basic configurations, I don't even know how to login into this module. This module is used on a 6500 switch. Any information would be truly appreciated.
Kind regards
Mpho

Start with the config docs. The following are links to accessing the FWSM from the 6500 cli and working with software files -
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/fwsm/fwsm31/configuration/guide/start_f.html
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/fwsm/fwsm31/configuration/guide/swcnfg_f.html
You should also be able to telnet from your PC to the FWSM if it has been setup for telnet/ssh but you will need the IP addresses and passwords.
