can you suggest if this is possible and how
we have frnt end and back end web servers. frnt end web server to present the intial login page to the user. after the user types the login details frnt end web server send the detail of authentication to backend web server. the back end server also have a software which queries on ldaps to active directory.
wht we need is the load balancer to probe on port 80 to both the frnt end and back end web servers. we also want load balancer to probe on port 636 only to back end web server. only and only when load balancer can probe all these servers then it should the intial GET request from the user on port 80 only to the frnt end server so user can type the login details
is there a way we can have a primary and secondary serverfarm where in each server farm respective ports are probed but login request should only go primary server farm
thanks

this is how our setup will look
serverfarm1 --frnt end server A and back end server A
serverfarm 2 - frnt end server B and back end server B
user 1 request hits LB
LB can probe port 80 on frnt end server A and port 80/636 on back end server A
LB should then only send the user request to frnt end server A
user 2 request hits LB
LB can probe port 80 on frnt end server B and port 80/636 on back end server B
LB should then only send the user request to frnt end server B
LB finds probe from back end server on port 636 fails, all user 1 requests should then go to frnt end server A
all other request should also go to frnt server B
Thanks

can someone pls help
no server load balancing within serverfarm but dependency
serverfarm 1
e.g. server a- probe -port 80
server b-probe-port80/636
request from user should only go to server a within serverfarm1 but if port 80 on any server fails then that serverfarm should be out of loadbalancer.
serverfarm 2
e.g server c -probe -port 80
server d - probe -port 80/636
severfarm 2 to be used as backup serverfarm
also is it possible to load balance traffic between serverfarms. in this case the traffic gets load balanced between server a and server c but the dependency of ports above remains between serverfarms
thanks
pls reply
