Guys:
I am using Cisco Unity 4.x. Is there anyway of decreasing the Exchange priv1.edb database file size?
Should the database file decrease with a proper backup with and Exchange Agent?
Thanks, Tom

I really cannot tell you if the exchange backup has something to do with that.
It will recover space, but i cannot tell you how much

You can determine the approximate amount of space that will be recovered by the offline defrag by looking at the event viewer events from the nightly online defrag. Take a look at the following MIcrosoft KB article.

Hope this helps.

Java, this is great...but do regular backups with exchange agent have anything to do with this?
Do you think the off line D:\>eseutil defrag will recover much disk space?
Sorry to be a pest but, I am trying to help someone else.
Thanks Again Tom
