I have Cisco6509 switch Named 'A' having 4 trunk uplinks to another 6509 switch Named as 'B'. The trunk links are configured as Layer 2 Ether channel. I am able to ping switch A from Switch B. Switch A also show up in 'Show CDP neighbour' output on switch B but are unable to telnet into switch A from Switch B. No recent configuration changes have been made on the router. The telnet access was working fine before. Please advice. Thanks

Perhaps you ran out of VTY sessions on Switch A.
Try clearing the line. Can you telnet from Switch B to Switch A?

Yes, Could be possible. We are unable to telnet into switch A from Switch B. We are managing the switch remotely and would need someone onsite to console into switch to check the VTY sessions. Could there be any other possible reasons?
Thanks for the reply.

An internal crash could've caused the telnet service to be unavailable.
Again, hard to tell without being able to access the switch.
For remote management, it's always recommended to have a terminal server access to devices.
You can also configure dial-in services via the console connection.
