Hi,

When I show diagnostic logs for aWS-C2960G-24TC-L the timestamp only shows the "12w6d". How do I set the log to show the complete time ?

now I have added the command

"service timestamps log datetime localtime"

"service timestamps debug datetime localtime"

Still i am getting the old logs in this format only "12w6d"

Is there anyway to convert the logtime into normal time.

Thanks in Advance

Regards

You need to set the system clock first.

This is done either through setting the clock on the device itself

or by pointing the device to an NTP server.

Hi,

I met similar problem several years ago with 3548-XL switches.

I had to reload the switch to make the new log timestamps working that time.

Milan

No suprise there Milan.

I would suggest our questioner look hard at taking NTP from the

Internet assuming they have no valid NTP source on the inside

of their network. Any reboot tends to whack the clock settings.
