Buffer problems -- LDP Neighbors Down

Unanswered Question

Hi, I have a problem with my LDP Neighbors when an ATM interface flaps. When the Physical IF flaps, the LDP Neighbors over other IF goes down.

The show buffers show me a peak at the same time of the failiure.

# sh buffers
Buffer elements:
1118 in free list (500 max allowed)
     4022421 hits, 0 misses, 1119 created

Public buffer pools:
Small buffers, 104 bytes (total 50, permanent 50, peak 95 @ 4d19h):
47 in free list (20 min, 150 max allowed)
     10116037 hits, 49 misses, 78 trims, 78 created
     3 failures (0 no memory)
Middle buffers, 600 bytes (total 28, permanent 25, peak 145 @ 3w1d):
28 in free list (10 min, 150 max allowed)
     2400429 hits, 250 misses, 494 trims, 497 created
     51 failures (0 no memory)
Big buffers, 1536 bytes (total 50, permanent 50):
50 in free list (5 min, 150 max allowed)
     410966 hits, 0 misses, 0 trims, 0 created
     0 failures (0 no memory)
VeryBig buffers, 4520 bytes (total 11, permanent 10, peak 13 @ 4d19h):
10 in free list (0 min, 100 max allowed)
     319327 hits, 2 misses, 3 trims, 4 created
     0 failures (0 no memory)

We think that the problem is relationated with a high CPU in a small moments. We take the following action.

Configure this command

process-max-time 50

We have the device under monitoring, if the problem happens again, We will tune the buffers.
