Hi,

I am getting this error message in my logs:

*Dec 02 22:26:38.928: %RRM-3-RRM_LOGMSG: rrmChanUtils.c:291 RRM LOG: Airewave Director: Could not find valid channel lists for 802.11bg

I'm assuming this is the cause why my Mesh APs are not broadcasting any SSIDs over the radios.

Could someone direct me on how to resolve this issue.

Appreciate your help.

Thank You

Terry

Yes, RRM is telling you there are no channels.  take a look under Wireless > 802.11b/g/n, Network, DCA and make sure that 1,6,11 are selected for use.

Hello,

I think I have the same problem.  I have 2 APs connected to a WLC5500, the APs are seen by the WLC, but I do not see my SSIDs being brodcast.  Here is a sample of the debug log messages;

*Feb 03 15:49:18.191: Airewave Director: AP 00:26:99:6C:40:B0(0) deletion on 802.11bg
*Feb 03 15:49:18.191: Airewave Director: AP 00:26:99:6C:40:B0(1) deletion on 802.11a
*Feb 03 15:49:25.034: Airewave Director: Group 802.11a action HELLO_TIMER in state LEADER_IDLE

*Feb 03 15:49:29.717: Airewave Director: Could not find valid channel lists for 802.11bg

I checked my DCA settings, and 1,6,11 are selected.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Solution:

My problem was:

Cisco Bug ID CSCte01087

Basically if your LAP mac addressess don't start in 00, they will work properly.  Workaround is to create another vlan for the LAP, and make sure you either send DHCP option 43, or manually configure the WLC on them.

Bug is in 6.0.188.0, supposedly fixed in 6.0.191.0 (not released as of this date.
