CUMPE IP ADDRESS AND HOSTNAME CHANGE

Hi,

i will like to know if is required to follow some kind of procedure in order to change the ip address and hostname of a MeetingPlace Express, i found the net command under cli (on the following link http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unified_MeetingPlace_Express%2C_Release_2.x_--_How_to_Work_With_CLI_Commands#Table:_Operating_System_CLI_Commands ) but i was wondering if at the application level is required to do some procedure before changing the ip address at the os.

I got a chance to change the IP of the MPE once.

Nothing is to be done at the application level.

Below are the steps to do that..

- Log into MPE via SSH with the mpxadmin account

- Type "su" and login as root

- Run "net"

- Choose 2 to configure ethernet port 1 (eth0) and then choose 3 to set IP

- Choose 3 to configure ethernet port 2 (eth1) and then choose 3 to set IP

- Restart the system with the "reboot" command
