Cisco IP Phone User Options Application access

Unanswered Question

Hi All,

I need some opinion on this.

Im implementing different/isolated VRF for Voice and internet. User cannot access to voice (ip phone and call manager) while browsing internet.

This is a great security features. But, im having trouble to provide Personal Directory IP phone services since the user need to login into Cisco IP Phone User Options Application to the call manager to customize their profile.

1-Are there any way to provide the Personal Directory IP phone services if i want to stick with my current setup?

2-What is the proper deployment to provide the Personal Directory IP phone services or any other service that need user involvement?

3-Is it wise if i open up my voice realm to internet (www) for easy access and to get the connected to online xml service via www?

Please advice.

Thanks

I have this problem too.
