I currently encounter a problem on the restart behavior of two chassis VSS. One of two-chassis boot into rommon.

What causes this behavior? And what is the solution to raise the service with minimal cuts. The client is an airport.

We have no margin for error.

Thank you for your help

Hello David,

It could be a number of things like IOS crash on one of the 6500, bad Sup module and/or misconfiguration.

What version of IOS are you running?

Was this working fine before or this is a new deployment?

I assume that one one of the 6500 still forwarding traffic, if so can you provide the VSS portion of the config form the device that is still working?

I am currently experiencing this problem also.

problem occured 3 times since it was implemented.

During the rommon state of the active routers all services are down and did not faileovered on the secondary VSS switch.

Can you help me resolve this issue?
