static binding in DHCP

Pls how do I permanely assign an ip address to a host under dhcp. I cant seem to find the ''address'' command under the dhcp configuration mode....is it normal??/

Hi,

   This setup is called "manual binding" and you can find an example of how to configure this on the following link:

Bear in mind that the configuration is a little different when DHCP client is a Microsoft 
Host or not, the reason is that Microsoft adds a "client identifier" to the MAC address of a
host when sending DHCP requests. The link above explains the difference in configuration in
this scenario (you only add a 01 to the MAC address).
