The SGE2010 and the SGE2000P would need a  MGBT1   1000BASE-T SFP transceiver for category 5 copper wire, support up to 100 m Need to know if this MGBT1 would work fine with a CAT 6 Cable?

Hello,

Cat-6 is good for Gig Ethernet, as described here. My question however is why use MGBT1 on SGE2010's & SGE2000P's? The SFP slots are shared with the existing Gig ports of the switch. You would loose the multi speed capabilities as well as PoE. Perhaps I have misunderstood?
