this prompt "router(boot)#" means that router has a corrupt or lost the Cisco IOS image.
check the correct IOS on the PCMCIA for the processor for example:
c7200p-xxxx-xxxx.bin (where p is for NPE-G2)
c7200-xxxx-xxxxx.bin this is for a NPE-G1 processor card.
I hope this help

Hello Ocporbust,
have you installed the NPE-G2 on a c7206 VXR chassis where you had before an older NPE and you have removed the I/O controller?
be aware that on older NPE configuration file NVRAM is located on I/O controller and this changes on NPE-G1 and NPE-G2 see
see
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/7200/install_and_upgrade/npe-g1_read_me/14025R.html
about IOS images again ios images for NPE G1 and G2 have different names
see
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/7200/install_and_upgrade/7200_boot_image_info/3876b.html
if you haven't uploaded with TFTP you old config is on the i/O controller but even if you have chosen to keep it on the chassis it is not accessible from new NPE engines.
Hope to help
Giuseppe
