CUCIMOC and Office Communicator 2007 R2

I see several posts on the forum that state that Office Communicator R2 is not yet supported with CUCIMOC.  A few state that it wont be supported until 2010.  Yet the latest data sheet states this as supported clients - "Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 or Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 Release 2".  The latest release notes also seem to indicate that R2 is supported.  Does anyone know the right answer here and does anyone have a successful deployment with R2?
