Hello,

How to upgrade license from Base (10 users) to Security Plus on Cisco ASA 5505,

is it possible directly or I have to upgrade to 50 usres and then to Security Plus? It

sounds stupid but I found in GPL only price for upgrade from 50 users license to

Security Plus and from unlimited users license to Security Plus!

I don't see why you would have to upgrade the number of users to get the extra features. The part number I posted is the secuiruty upgrade.

You should be able to order ASA5505-SEC-PL=

ASA5505-SEC-PL is an option when ordering ASA5505-K8

Sorry, I still do not understand. I have already : ASA5505-BUN-K9, (ASA 5505 Appliance with SW, 10 Users, 8 ports, 3DES/AES)!

Is it possible tu upgrade to Security Plus directly or I have to upgrade first to 50 users or what else? If you have link, or something, it would help.

the problem looks to be solved, I got the answer from Cisco on Partner Help and you

were right, it can be done directly to Security Plus. Here is the answer from Cisco :

You can upgrade the ASA5505 to security plus directly, no matter the amount of users you are licensed for. Security Plus License enables:

- VLAN Trunking
- 20 security interfaces (up from 3)
- 25 VPN tunnels (up from 10)
- 25,000 concurrent connections (up from 10,000)
- Stateless Failover (up from no failover)

You can order this license in two different ways: electronic or paper. The electronic license is ordered via the eDelivery program, that is available only for
specific partners. For instructions on how to proceed, please refer to:
http://www.cisco.com/web/partners/tools/edelivery.html

Please find attached a quote for the license, both electronic (L-ASA5505-SEC-PL=) and paper (ASA5505-SEC-PL=) versions. Pick whichever fits best for
your customer. Let me know if this fulfills your request or if you are looking for additional information.
