Good Day all,

I am currently looking at a small scale "hotspot" type network. I have completed several larger scale Wireless WAN projects, however this type of deployment is new to me. My question is around the integrated wireless AP in the ISR1800 series: As I am not certain on the environment this will be getting deployed in, If I needed to extend the range is this AP compatible with installing another cisco AP, say an 1100 series (or whatever) to acheive this.

I am looking at the AP541N and a WAN router a possible solution, as it appears I can deploy a number of these easily and independantly.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing your responses.

roaming from 1800 ISR to another wirless AP is not supported (the ISR doesnt speak IAPP which is used for a clean roaming handoff) if you went this route you should use multiple Cisco AP's and disable the internal wireless unit.
