Hi!

If you have an IT job interview, most likely they will ask about general protocols and traditional vs. IP telephony stuff. Something like analog (FXO, FXS, E&M) and digital connections (T1 CAS, T1 PRI, E1], etc)  It will depend on the products they use. If they use Cisco, probably you should focus on the solutions we have for either small, medium or large business (CME, CUCMBE, CUCM), voicemail, applications such as UCCX, CUPS, etc.

I believe the CVoice material (the one you studied for your CCVP) will be good material. Also, I will recommend the SRND for CUCM and Design Guide for Unity.

HTH and good luck!

Teresa.

Hi!

I will recommend you the following book fot IP Telephony: Troubleshooting Cisco IP Telephony by Paul Giralt, you can find it on Cisco Press.

For Unity, the Design and Administration guides will give you an overview of how Unity works, best practices and how to configure it.Please refer to the Documentation Repository at:

--> Documentation Guide for Cisco Unity Connection Release 7.X

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/7x/roadmap/7xcucdg.html

For UCCX you can review theSRND:

--> Solution Reference Network Design for Cisco Unified CCX and Cisco Unified IP IVR, Release 7.0

www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_7_0/design/guide/uccx70srnd.pdf

For CUPS, refer to:

--> Cisco Unified Presence, Release 7.x

http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Unified_Presence%2C_Release_7.x

If you want a general overview take a look to the data sheets for each product. They are available on www.cisco.com

HTH!

Dear Teresa,

Thank you very much for your replay and help. I got interview in IP Telephony, they need a IP Telephony specialist.

There is only introduction of Unity and CUPS and there is little about UCCX in CCVP. Can you please direct me to some resources

for those too.

Best Regards,

Ullas.
