Unity 7.x, possible to use a different field in AD for the phone number?

At the moment, we are using 4 digits in the Telephone Number field in the AD.

Can we use the full external phone number(10 digits) in this field?

OR

Is it possible to have the internal phone number be in a different field in Active Directory?

Is this the field what's called the DTMF ID?

It does not matter in Unity. When you import this into Unity thorugh AD, you can change the number once in Unity.

Test an acccount.

Import AD user Joe Doe

Unity will pull over the telephone field 10 digit.

You then have the option to edit the number before you save this.

If you bulk numbers, you can also use a rule to use only the last 4 digits to make it easy.
