Hopefully this will save users some time. I know it would have saved me about a day and a half and a couple of phone calls troubleshooting.
Provisioning on the SPA502G IP Phone.
If the provisioning tab is not visible within the SPA502G IP Phone, which is not available by default.
1. Change the Call Control Protocol to SIP
2. Change auto-detect SPCP to Do Not Auto-Detect
3. Save Changes and Reboot the SPA 502G IP Phone.
The Profile's Tab should now be availble when you connect to the GUI interface within the IP Phone.
