7931 IP Phone seems to stay muted or mic disabled/broken

We have a customer with a 7931 that either is stuck on mute, or the phone mic is either broken or disabled somehow. This is using the normal handset, speaker phone, or with a headset. Tried power cycling, switched headsets and handsets. Are there any other troubleshooting steps that anyone can recommend? Also, is it possible to update the firmware on the individual phone?

you should try to a firmware reset to factory defaults....

You can drag/drop new phone firmware via CCA, then reload/power cycle the phone to load the FW.


Have not seen this issue before, so you may have bad mic. Both the mic in handset and speak failing at same time seems a bit strange.
