FXS Port 0 has no dial tone FXS Port 1 has dial

For some reason port 0 on my FXS card does not provide dialtone.  The settings on port 0 and port 1 are identical and I have swapped out analog phones

Symtoms

I can call the phone attached to port 0 from port 1 on the same card.

The LED associated with port 0 comes on when the phone goes off the hook.

On port 0 the phone goes off hook, on hook, then off everytime I pick up the phone.

Any Ideas

If you have "direct-inward-dial" configured under the FXO/FXS dial peers, remove them and try again.

Your solution worked, thank you.  Any ideas on how to get call through to the FXS ports directly using DID numbers? When I remove the DID command from the dial-peer and try to dial in I get a second dialtone.

Do you have connection plar configured under the voice port?

voice-port 0/1/0

connection plar 1234 (extension where the call will be terminated)

I am running CME on both routers and I am trying to place a call from WYRT1 to AZRT1 through the national or international pots dial-peer to a FXS port on AZRT1 with multiple numbers
No commands have been entered under the FXS Port.  I wanted to point multiple numbers to this FXS port and I wasn't sure if PLAR would be able to do this

hostname WYRT1

Replace the extension with "X".  If your extensions are 4 digits then use "Connection plar XXXX" under voice port. This will mach any 4 digits number.

voice-port x/y/z

connection plar XXXX opx

Sorry for the delay in communication.

Thank you for the suggestion but I was trying to setup this port to have multiple different numbers which do not fall into any specific range.

Example  800-555-1212, 214-728-2839, 0112833782901 all point to fxs port 0/1.  I would like to have call routed through the PRI and the have the phone ring directly.
