If you have contract and support taken from cisco for your network devices
in your network. Then your contract can tell you more about commercial aspect with cisco.

My suggestion is check out your contract with cisco for downloading a new IOS from cisco.

Hope that help

Hi Doug

If you want to upgrade your feature-sets on your switch (say from IP-BASE to IP-SERVICES image), then SMARTNET contract might not support it. SMARTNET contracts are more for break fixes and will allow free IOS upgrades within the same major, minor versions with the existing feature-sets.... Please have a look at the SMARTNET Q&A for understanding more about your support contract.

You need to order the following component to upgrade Standard Image to Enhanced Imange on 3560's:

CD-3560-EMI= ----> IP Services License (formerly EMI) upgrade kit for IP Base versions of the Cisco Catalyst 3560-24PS, Catalyst 3560-48PS, Catalyst 3560-24TS, Catalyst 3560-48TS, and Catalyst 3560-8PC.

Hope this Helps.. All the Best..
