DCNM vs syslog

Is DCNM providing syslog type functionality for NX-OS devices (archival of system messages) or should we still use a syslog service?

3rd party application can get DCNM events (not necessary syslog) via JMS or standard Web Services (SOAP/XML). Below is an example of XML event by using Web Services interface in the context of STP.
