EDFA and OADM Devices - Maximum Character for Telnet and SNMP String

Can someone let me know the maximum number of characters for the telnet password and SNMP RO/RW strings on EDFA and OADM devices?

From the Operations Guide when setting the user password for TL1 or for the telnet password: The user's new private identifier (password). Must be a string of up to 10 characters, where at least 2 are non-alphabetic characters and at least 1 is a special character. Special characters are +, #, %, etc. (defined in Telcordia GR-831-CORE). I do not know the maximum number for a community string.
