I cannot perform inventory collection on ASA5520 (Device is displayed as failed in job details. Description: "Device sensed, but collection failed") Software version on ASA is 8.2.1. Version of RME is 4.0.6 (LMS 2.6) Device has the following configuration:
snmp-server group lms_group v3 auth
snmp-server user lms lms_group v3 encrypted auth sha xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
snmp-server host inside 10.10.1.5 version 3 lms
no snmp-server location
no snmp-server contact
snmp-server enable traps snmp authentication linkup linkdown coldstart
snmp-server enable traps syslog
snmp-server enable traps ipsec start stop
snmp-server enable traps entity config-change fru-insert fru-remove

Any advice is appreciated.

Post the IC_Server.log after performing an inventory collection for this device.

You may have found a new bug. Start a packet capture filtering on all udp/161 traffic between the LMS server and the ASA, then perform a new inventory collection. When it fails, post the resulting sniffer trace.

Vsevolod, what did you find out? Did you ever resolve this issue? I am having the same issue with both ASA5510s and ASA5520s.
I am running newer versions than you but the issue is the same.
LMS - 3.2
RME 4.3.1
ASA - 8.2.1/8.2.1(11)/8.2.2
