Hi,

I have a little question regarding licensing...

I have a up and running IPCC that work fine in our production site at 4.5 with a couples
of agent.

I have install in lab a new IPCC
I have done the Restore procedure.
In the restore procedure it ask for the IPCC folder licences.

In this folder I had this license: ( one .lic file that have this inside )
UPGRADE CRS_EXPSEAT_PRE_SAS_SASU cisco 4.5 7.0 permanent uncounted \
UPGRADE CRS_EXP_PRE_SAS_SASU cisco 4.5 7.0 permanent uncounted \

When the restore was done I had a message that said I don't have the right licences. So, I
did try to upload this license manually, and It show an error message

Warning: The license for Cisco Unified CCX Premium Seat ESW or UCSS Upgrade is not a valid
addition for the package None and therefore it will be ignored.

Please go to the Display License(s) page to view current licenses.

Also, later I will go to HA for high availability and as I bought both licences together (
the one I show you on top and the HA here :

.lic
INCREMENT CRS_PREICDSRVR cisco 7.0 permanent uncounted \
INCREMENT CRS_EXP_PRE_WARM_STBY cisco 7.0 permanent uncounted \

I tought mabe Licence team that generate the licences made a mistake so I upload that lic
and here is the error :

*Required..

Error : The license file, was not uploaded since SQL2K should be
installed to enable High Availability feature. Please add High Availability server license
after installing SQL2K.

At this point, I think I bought every licences that is required but the setup is not
working.

For your information

If I run  Start / run / cet.bat

I can see that all licences from the production system have been import and also the first
licences is there

At this point I am asking me as I order HA, maybe it is necessary to install SQL before
applying any licences.

I would like to know that

thanks a lot

Hi,

Here are answers for your questions:

1)To install HA you need to have SQL 2000 installed on Both servers.

This is not a normal SQL 2000 but you need to install SQL using the CD/DVD that came along with the UCCX

2)You require the base licenses to enable the UCCX functionality.

Going through the names of license files above it seems that the base license are missing.

You can open up a case with TAC if you feel that the files are correct but there is some issues with UCCX.

I had to install SQL.

Without that, any licences was working.

After that, I was able to uplod both licences.
