RV042 with Shrew Soft on Win7(64)

I was never able to get QuickVPN to work with my RV042 on our new computers, which use Windows 7 (64-bit).  I found some positive comments about Shrew Soft VPN Client, but I can't get it to work either.  All computers are using Windows 7 Professional.  Here's the rest:

Firmware 1.3.12.19-tm
Firewall disabled
Multicast Pass Through enabled
IKE with preshared key
VPN Pass Through enabled

Shrew Version 2.1.5

Shrew hangs on "bringing up tunnel," right after preshared key configured.
The debug log states that IKE packet gets sent with no response, and negotiation times out.

I'm out of ideas. Please help.

Paul

Hi,

Configure your RV042 like this screen : http://omploader.org/vMzFhMA

Import on Shrew Soft this file : http://omploader.org/vMzFhMQ/Cisco%20Small%20Business%20RV042 and change configuration for your network (Subnet, Server adress and preshared key)

Success.  Thank you.

Hi guys,

Check out this posting as well.  Well worth a look at using the native IPSec client in windows 7.  Just wish I had a powerful enough PC that would accept  windows 7 so i could validate the procedure in the posting below;

If these were updated it would be great; trying to setup ShrewSoft and RV042 without much success.

Robin,

You are unable to open the link? It is working fine for me.

I'm going to the 'omploader' links provided by 'desumoyo-san' and they don't link to what they're supposed to.

Robin,

Sorry, I thought you meant https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-10273

Links are dead again. Is there a way to make these permanent?
