I am having a brain fart. I have a network

10.25.0.0 and subnetting it to /20.

The question is 10.25.240.0/20 usable or is it not because it is the last subnet?

WIth ip zero I can use 10.25.0.0/20.

It is useable, no problem.

But you are suppost to lose the first and last subnet. Are the only 2 IPs I am going to lose are the first and last of that subnet.

I will not lose the subnet then?

No you won't lose the subnet. You will as you say lose

10.25.240.0 as this is the subnet address &

10.25.255.255 as this is the broadcast address
