Strange one really, and a little embarassing at the same time...

- Two N5K's with 4 x 10G connections to VSS

- Using OM3 multimode

- 2 meters distance

- X2-10GBASE-SR tranceivers on the 6509's

- Basic port configurations

- Swapped out tranceivers

- Checked fibre pairs are around the right way

- N5K's are connected to one another

The interfaces will not come up!

It's not like i'm new to all this kind of thing, but im seriously stumped as to why I cant get any joy.

Ideas? Anyone?

Hello Paul,

Does show module on the 6500 show that the blade is ok?

If none of the ports comes on line you may have a bad blade.

What if you connect the 6500 ports to another device?

Thanks for your reply Reza.

Ports on the blades are being used for uplinks to other devices, so they seem to work fine.
