Solved: Background for 7985

Is it possible to have 7985's have custom backgrounds?? Tried googling but am struggling to find any info.

Hi Weeyin,

They will need to be in;

Directory "/Desktops/800x600x16"

Have a look at this great post from Martin. He has broken down the different sizes required

and the method for changing them;

7941 / 7961

Full size image- 320 pixels (width) X 196 pixels (height).

Thumbnail image- 80 pixels (width) X 49 pixels (height).

Directory "Desktops/320x196x4"

7942 / 7962

Full size image-320 pixels (width) X 196 pixels (height).

Thumbnail image-80 pixels (width) X 49 pixels (height).

Directory "/Desktops/320x196x4"

7945 / 7965

Full size image-320 pixels (width) X 212 pixels (height).

Thumbnail image-80 pixels (width) X 53 pixels (height).

Directory "/Desktops/320x212x16"

7970 / 7971

Full size image-320 pixels (width) X 212 pixels (height).

Thumbnail image-80 pixels (width) X 53 pixels (height).

Most possible my friend

For the 7985 the List.xml should look like this;

FTP:Desktops/800x600x16/logo7985.png"

URL="TFTP:Desktops/800x600x16/logo7985.png"/>

If I just add in the code to the List.xml file will it then display on the 7985 options? Do i need a certain version of firmware?

There are no specific firmware requirements for this. You will need to restart the TFTP service after uploading/changing files in it.

Not having any joy with this one, have managed to get the files uploaded to the Desktops/800x600x16 folder and have updated my List.xml file but instead of the background being displayed on my 7985 phone I am getting it as available on my 7945 phones!

My list file resides under the Desktops/320x212x16 folder, do I need one at a higher level instead or should it be in the 800x600 directory??

At the moment all I get when i go into background images on the 7985 phone is "DEFAULT" no other options are available.

Am on v6.1 of callmanager

Thanks for all your help guys, finally got it to work once I created a List.xml within the Desktops/800x600x16 folder!
