ISDN Problem

Hi all,

I have a AS5350 and recently I updated the IOS from 12.3 to 12.4.

The configuration didnt changed, but in the 12.4, the calls are disconected with the code(service or option not available, unspecified (63)).

I turn the ISDN debug on and this is what I got.

If I rollback to 12.3 everything works fine.

Please help.

Best regards.

Luis Laimer

This is the output from the debug isdn q931.

Can you post a successful call debug output on 12.3 IOS.

Also, did you try putting the command bearer capability speech under voice-port then shut no shut.

Hi Pratik,

Thanks for your reply on this. I belive that theres some issue related with the configuration that is in place with the 12.3 and 12.4.

Will the same conf file work for both versions ?

I took a debug isdn q931 with the 12.3:

Dec 28 11:32:56.785: ISDN Dc3/2 SC Q931: RX <- SETUP pd = 8  callref = 0x0006
        Bearer Capability i = 0x9090A2

Dec 28 11:33:09.722: ISDN Dc3/2 SC Q931: RX <- RELEASE_COMP pd = 8  callref = 0x0006

As you can see, it works fine when the version of the IOS is the 12.3.

Ill test your procedure and see if anything changes.

Best regards

When I dial the same number, with the same conf, in the 12.4 the debug shows:

I also configured the bearer-capability speech as follows:

voice-port 3/2:D
echo-cancel coverage 32
cptone BR
timeouts initial 15
timeouts interdigit 7
bearer-cap Speech

and the Controller E1 is configured like:

controller E1 3/2
framing NO-CRC4
channel-group 15 timeslots 16
pri-group timeslots 1-15,17-31 nfas_d primary nfas_int 2 nfas_group 2 rlm-group 2
description EMBRATEL - INTERCONEXAO STFC - DPC 6113
!

interface Serial3/2:15
no ip address
encapsulation ss7
channel-id 2
!

Still getting the same problem.
