Hi All,
Please help, i'm integrating presence server with IBM Sametime.
Phone status work well with CUPC whenever it offhook / onhook, but with IBM sametime, it doesn't work. But with IBM Sametime we can make a click to call, but presence status not working. It's already enalble phone status in the Sametime Server.
We are using Presence 7, IBM Sametime Server 8, IBM Sametime Client 8 and Plugin for IBM 7.1
Any idea about that?
Thanks before.
Regards,
Tommy

For testing purpose, could you install a CUPC (Cisco Unified Personal Communicator) and see if the phone presence works?
If the phone presence didn't work on CUPC either, you'll have to check the configuration on CUCM and CUPS first.
If the phone presence worked on CUPC but not on Sametime, you should check the plugin configuration (CiscoCfg.exe).

Hi Htluo,
The presence status work well in CUPC but not in the sametime connect
In the sametime server already enable phone status, but still doesn't work.
Any advice?
Thanks..

I'm confused with "In the sametime server already enable phone status". If you're using Cisco Phone Control And Presence plug-in for Sametime (PCAP), there's no such a thing called "sametime server already enable phone status". All features are being done by the client (PCAP).

Hi Htluo,
I mean in the Phone Control and Presence Tab Fields, in the "Enable Phone Status" already check the option to activate phone status to all user.
Refer to "Deploying Cisco Phone Control and Presence 7.1(1) with IBM Lotus Sametime" pdf in cisco website.
Any Advice?

Tommy

Just check the box won't do the magic (I wish it's that easy). Based on your Sametime server deployment, you'll have to configured different mapping mechanism between Sametime Contact ID and CUPS user ID. This is called "user mapping".
Again, if you haven't, I strongly recommend you take a look at http://www.lulu.com/content/5552336
Thanks!
