Cisco DAX?

I am currently using a Telect StarDax in my network to cross-connect and manage multiple T1's. I am looking to replace it with something from Cisco but I am having trouble locating something comparable. The Telect unit is capable of doing 88 T1's in 10.5" of rack space. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello Jeff,

there are channelized T3 or STM-1 adapters that can be used for this but they require an external ADM or RED.

see

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/port_adapters/install_upgrade/multichannel_serial/pa-mc-t3_install_config/2695conf.html

these can be installed on C7200 VXR boxes or on flexwan modules in C6500 or C7600.

I see the stardax as an ADM or RED so I don't think the above can be a replacement rather a complement to it.

I may be wrong but I don't think Cisco produces this kind of cross-connect

Hope to help

Giuseppe
