OK, so my 2 sup's are in slot 1 and 2

Now how do I configur redundance?

redundancy is configured, yet my 2 sup's, 1 is active and 1 is standby COLD. How do I m

ake it standby HOT ? so not to cause network outage when it switches?

Also, is there a command to force the switchover?

On a 6509, your Sups must go into slot 5 and 6
