Hi all, I'm doing a new Call Manager Express setup that I have never done before and I'm trying to get prepped. I've read that during the initial installation and after you extract the CME files via the "archive tar /xtract tftp:// ip-address/tar-filename flash:" command that in order for the phones to pull their specific files you need to issue the " tftp-server flash:" command for each phones individual files.
If this is correct, what files do I need to add for the command " tftp-server flash:" for phones such as 7912's, 7940's,and 1960's. Is there another way of doing this? Especially if we are talking about a lot of files it would be nice if there was an automated process.
thanks,
Dan

Frpm 7.0 onward, it not necessary anymore to configure tftp-server for the firmware files.
1. configure cfg-location flash: under telephony service
2. configure load 79xxxxx.loads
That's all.
