DO CUCM 7.1 can run in vmware, do cisco supports it

one of my client having vmware server, asking do we can run CUCM 7.1 in vmware server itself [ like Unity 7.1 ] please some one light me on CUCM 7.1 support on vmware for 550 users.

Hi,

I have done this on Version 6.0, it worked fine, so it should be the same with 7.1,

Dont update anything initially on OS level until everything from CUCM is working fine.

thanks for the reply, do we get TAC support for this type of installation, and do we get lic file based on vmware macaddress from cisco. We have 500 users, we can save the hardware cost.

TAC does not support CUCM on VMware now and also from licensing prespective the it is limited to around or 150 DLUs. I have this in our test bed.

Cisco is slowly releasing support for their UC applications on VMware, for eg: Cisco Unity is supported already. We can expect them to release official support for CUCM in vmware soon.
