Band Select compatible AP's

Hi All,

I've recently upgraded the software on a 4400 series WLC to version 6.0.188.0.  I'm interested in using band select however upon reading the configuration guide I've noted it states that "Band selection can be used only with Cisco Aironet 1140 and 1250 series access points".

I'm using 1242AG access points so it seems i'm out of luck...   Is there any reason why the 1242 isn't supported?  I thought this feature would have been a down to software and not hardware?!?!

1.  I'm waiting for Cisco to announce the End-Of-Sale for the 1240 so you can see why backward compatibility support is lacking;
2.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it.  So far the demand for this feature is not loud enough.
