Hi,
I have a request to see if this is possible, to display the persons name on their phone if the caller is ringing externally.
For example:
If my brother is ringing my work phone from his mobile, I would like it to display his name on my IP 7961 phone instead of his number. I added his number to my personal address book and got him to ring in but it just displays his mobile number.
Is there a way of getting this to work? If I linked it to a database and it looked up the number etc...
We are using Cisco Call Manager 4.1.3 SR7 and our IP phones are 7960, 7961 and 7970.
Thanks
Anthony.

Are you using H.323, or MGCP?
If the latter, are you willing to switch to the first?

Check "number to name" on http://www.ciscoxmlservices.com/en/tcl--ivr-scripts
