Routing thru l2 switch

hi all,

i have my Routers two interface configured on vlan 200 ip 10.80.8.2,

which are connected to me 3400  ,

inturn connected to a switch ip 192.168.1.35&then to server 192.168.1.201

i have tried giving routes for 192.168.1.35,192.168.1.0 coldnt get on

Hi,

Is there a default route is configured in switch toward the router if not just configured a default route towards the router intreface and check.

Hello Cisco_blue,

or  the routers or the ME 3400 need to have a layer 3 interface in IP subnet 192.168.1.0, that  IP address can become the next-hop for default gateway on server and L2 switch. It is not enough to have a physical connection between L2 switch and the other devices.
