I need to set up a PA/BOSS set up.
Caller rings Boss 1234 which has a call forward Busy, NA to PA 2222.
PA has a CFNA, Busy to Voice Mail
Callers ring boss, rings PA and diverts to VM- The caller hears the boss greeting - all working
However if the PA has a call forward all set up , the original caller to the boss will be transferred to the PA`s call forward all setting- Not good
I can resolve this issue by configuring Hunt group and setting user preferences however is there a way I can do the same feature without the hunt group. In Nortel the set up works by ignoring the PA`s own call forward all setting and works on the PA CFNA, busy
Using UCM 6.X
thanks

Hi IPT,
Hope all is well
There is no slick work-around for this type of problem.
You only have two choices that I can think of;
1. Education - ask the PA not to use CFWDALL due to
the issues with the Manager phone forwarding along with
the PA calls.
or
2. What many people do is setup a secondary line/button
on the PA's phone that is specifically for answering the
Bosses calls. For example; add the DN 2233 to the PA
phone and have the Boss FNA/FBA to 2233 instead of
the primary PA line of 2222. This way the CFWDALL of
2222 will have no effect on the overall desired config, as,
of course CFWDALL only forwards the primary line 2222.
Cheers!

Rob,
Thanks but I was looking for another way. The dummy DN approach will work but it will use up a key on the PA`s phone, then if the PA wanted an status, BLF of the boss as well the total then takes up 2 keys per boss.
