Cisco 2600 XM vs 2800 for CCIE lab

Hi guys,

I would like to build a CCIE Lab at home but my budget is a bit limited, so I was wondering whether it would be possible to build the same Lab with 2600 XM routers.

Is there any significant draw back (like some features won't be available) using an XM platform instead of a 2800 in regard to the CCIE curriculum. The NM-CUE and NM-HDV2-2T1/E1 are supported on the XM plateform, so it's a good start.

I'm planning to connect back to back the NM-HDV2-2T1/E1 to simulate a PSTN, never done before but read it's possible.

Thanks

The 2600 supports CME, MGCP and SRST so i dont see why not. You will be limited ot the amount

of users but thats fine for a lab right. Ive got one with some fxo and fxs cards in but then again im not ready for CCIE
