Can we move Unity message store without Unity re-install?

UCcomp2007

We are upgrading Exchange 2000(on new hardware) to Exchange 2003.  Can we essentially "move" the message store from 2000 to new 2003 server without having to re-install Unity?  Or do we have to re-install Unity?

Regards,

Sounds like it is offbox UM with Unity.  If that is the case, you will install the system management tools for Exchange 2003 and Sp2, etc on Unity.  Then re-run permissions wizard (download latest from unitytoolsdepot).   Then run the message store wizard from add/remove programs to add in the stores from 2003.

Wait for AD/Unity/SQL to sync everything up.   Once it is tested with 2003 (move one mailbox and test mwi, etc) then you can plan on moving others when time permits.

Hey Daniel,

Long time my friend Hope all is well with you,

it's -26 here this morning (yikes). I heard that it is very

cold in your neck of the woods as well, I guess it's all

relative.

You can't receive answers from two better NetPro's than Tommer

and Java (awesome work guys!) , but  I thought you may want to read

another thread just in case;

Take care! Cheers!
