4402 LAN Controller - Questions

Hi

We have 4402 LAN Controller an our existing 5 stanalone AP will be configure with LC.

Is it possible to have Multiple SSID as,

DATA-ssid

VOICE-ssid

GUEST-ssid

&& with strong security with different keys for each ssid

Authentication for DATA-ssid through 802.1Q

We also plan to have IP-PHONE soon and would be integrated with VOICE-ssid ; sadly it woul be Nortel IP Phone.

I hope no integration issues.

You bet, we're currently running 8 BSSIDs on our APs at different sites, in fact you'll probably want to tie each SSID to their own VLAN as well. If you're planning on using VoWL (Voice over Wireless LAN) you may want to see if those phones support WMM (essentialy Wireless QOS). Also, you can authenticate data via dot1x as well. What's cool is that if you're running ACS 5 then you can set WMM levels and VLANs based on criteria and have one SSID for a variety of purposes. What version of code are you running on the 4400?
