Hi Folks,
My Ciscoworks 3.1 does not show relevant link colurs in the topology maps like it shows sometimes red, sometimes blue etc. Say i have a broken link between two devices, that would show red. but the link between two 10 mbps is also red. And the link between one 10mbps and one 100 mbps is also red.
Please suggest.
Regards,
Rajiv.

A red link means that there was a problem getting the link state via SNMP (or the link state is down). Under normal circumstances, all links should be solid gray lines (blue if selected). Red links indicate a problem.

Hi Joe,
Refer to attached screenshot, Shown link error is explained.
Location 1(SO_7C) is connected to location 2(SO_7A) where link speed mismatch is shown by Topology map - link report. but in reality none of the link speed are mismatched.
Now actually when we login to these two devices,
1. Devices are connected to each other but none of the port is on 10 Mbps.
2. It shows link on port 22 ( which should actually be port 20.)
Please suggest.
Regards,
Rajiv

Exactly what version of Campus Manager are you using?
01-12-2010 09:11 PM
CM 5.1.3

Go ahead and update to CM 5.1.4 to get the latest bug fixes. Then, clear out the topology portion of the ANI database to remove all of these bogus links. To do that, run the command:
NMSROOT/bin/perl NMSROOT/campus/bin/reinitdb.pl
After that, run a new Campus Data Collection from the Campus Manager Homepage. That should give you a cleaner topology map. This particular link should no longer appear, and you should see the proper connection between these two devices.
